Special Arrangement for Clinic Services during
Tropical Cyclone and Rainstorm Warnings

Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or Higher

• If Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 (or higher) is issued before office hours of the clinics, clinic service will be suspended while the warning signal is in force.
• If the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 (or higher) is issued during office hours of the clinics, clinic service will be suspended while the warning signal is in force.
  • To the extent reasonably practicable, the services in the clinics will continue until the attending patients with appointments have been served.
  • For those patients (with appointments) who have not arrived the clinics, please call after the cancellation of the Warning Signal No. 8 to re-schedule appointments.
• In general, clinic services will be resumed as soon as practicable within 2 hours after the warning signal No. 8 is lowered or cancelled. However, if the warning signal No. 8 is subsequently lowered or cancelled after 2:30pm (on a weekday) or after 9:30 am (on a Saturday), clinic services will remain suspended for the whole day.

Black Rainstorm Warning Signal

• If Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued outside office hours of the clinics, the services will be suspended while the warning signal is in force.
• In general, clinic service will be resumed as soon as practicable within 2 hours after the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is subsequently cancelled. However, if the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is cancelled after 2:30 pm (on a weekday) or 9:30 am (on a Saturday), clinic services will remain suspended for the whole day.
• If the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued during office hours of the clinics, clinic services will continue until the close of business.

* The operations booked to be performed at hospitals shall proceed as per the scheduled times.
